161: Harry Potter and the Amazing Andi Scrap

Friday, July 17th, 2009

My friend Andi, mother of Hannah, pictured below, left, is really good at taking, developing, and getting pictures up online and into scrapbooks. By “really good” I mean amazing. Case in point: This picture was taken less than 12 hours ago, before the children headed to the mall to stand in line for Harry Potter, [...]

193: Farmerteen’s New Do

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Poor Farmerteen. She has straight, thin hair like the paternal side of her family. I convinced her that she ought to stop trying to fight what it is, and work with it. She’s not convinced that she adores it yet. I think she’s just resigned. At least it isn’t thinning further, like her father’s. (Yikes!)

332: Party!

Monday, February 2nd, 2009

We haven’t had a house full of teenagers in a while. (And I think Michael’s okay if we don’t again for a while yet!) This many teenagers makes the ginormous livingroom seem kind of small. On the woodstove are pots of chili, vegan-gluten-free soup, and Campbell’s chicken noodle. The Campbell’s was nearly tragic, as it [...]

337: Farmerteen’s Year of Firsts

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Goodbye, Farmergirl. Hello, Farmerteen! Farmerteen has newly-dyed hair (brown), and is serving dinner at her youth group this evening (Fall Bake, salad, and Vanilla, Butter, and Nut Pound Cake). She has decided this should be a “year of firsts” . . . though we haven’t really done much to qualify yet. I’ll let you know, [...]
